BEMA `2007Unsung Heros Award Series
On Friday, November 9th, 7pm BEMA held its second Unsung Heroes Awards Event. The event was held in the SALON ROOM of the Liacouras Center during the October Gallery International Art Expo. The program was theatre style seating with presentations and entertainment including a VIP Reception afterwards at Philadelphia International Records.
The honorees consisted of eleven veteran industry and promotional persons, including: Armand McKissick, Snookie Jones, Joe "Butterball" Tamburro, Joe Tarsia, Allan Lott, Reggie Barnes, Ronnie Jones, wayman Jones, Dee Wellmon and more.
Special awards were given to "THE THREE DEGREES", and "JEAN CARN". Both performed during the evening. Special awards were given to City Councilwomam Marion Tasco, Joan Myers Brown, Stan "The Man" Watson, Sonny Driver of SCOOP Magazine, Rhoda Blount of The Mann Music Center, and Kal Rudman with the "Gamble & Huff Award" going to Dexter Wansel.
